Subject: Tea Commercial
At the ending of the tea commercial (7:00) where the narrator says "Take Tea and See" when the music dies down, you can distinctly hear a voice saing "Thats Good" in the background. This might of been the director or an assistant calling the last take of the ending scene.
Subject: Gary Moore
The funny SOS commercial looks to be from one of Gary Moore's old shows from the 50's, he is the guy that came in at the end in the wig. Heck, SNL can't even do skits that funny anymore, let alone a commercial!
Subject: Burned-on saurkrauten...
I LOVED the first commercial, it made me laugh more than I have on anything on this site yet. "Shemp" and "Sally Struthers" (I know it's NOT them, but it sure as hell looks like them) are plugging SOS by playing vikings who make fun of German people...funny stuff!!!
The rest of the commercials were good too, but this commercial ALONE gives this 5 stars...
Subject: Not comlete?
Clip #24 - #31
I watched it mainly for the Beer ads.
Hamm's and Carling Black Label are great.
Rheingold seems to miss a few (5) seconds at the end.
Not available in MPEG2.
Part V seems to be missing to (clip #32 - #36 missing).

Subject: Great stuff!
Amazing to see that back in the 50s, advertising was as full of crap as it is now ("flavor buds" indeed!). But I greatly enjoyed the Hamm's spot and especially the UPA-influenced Black Label spot.
The live SOS ad is from the Garry Moore show and features Moore (coming in at the end) and his sidekick Durward Kirby. Don't know who the actress is, maybe Dorothy Loudon (leaning on external sources for that one).
Subject: MORE classics!
They just keep coming..
I'm unaware of the show in the first bit, but it's a great piece.
Raid kills bugs dead. Wonder how the Tomato plant feels after spraying it like a meter away...
What's with the tea council ad? Was the tea drinking in decline?
Hamms! Man that's a great jingle!
And so was Black Label!
A great bunch!
